The Co.Za EPP
Whois System (both Web based and Port 43) uses a unique (non-standard) template
to display information pertaining to a searched domain name. This template
differs from the standard (uniform) template that we use for the other ZACR
administered namespaces.
The Co.Za
Whois template will be changed to the standard template currently in use for
the other ZACR administered namespaces to create a more uniform approach across
all ZACR namespaces. This is aimed at removing additional complexities for registrar systems
and is consistent with international
best practises. The date for the proposed switch-over is 2 May 2016.
Furthermore,
the Co.Za technical policy will be aligned to the contact requirements of the
other ZACR administered namespaces. This means that the Co.Za namespace will
begin accepting the 3 (three) additional contact types (Admin, Billing and
Technical) as part of a domain name registration. This will initially be done
on a voluntary basis to afford the registrar community sufficient time to
configure and test their systems. Voluntary implementation will extend from is 1 March 2016 until 30 September 2016, whereafter
it will become a compulsory requirement for all new domain registrations on the
Co.Za EPP system.
This means
that with effect from 1 October 2016, the above policy will be updated to make
it a compulsory requirement that all new Co.Za domain creates must include the
3 (three) additional contact types (Admin, Billing and Technical).

Registrars, and complete breakdown of the Proposed Implementation Timelines,
