A Technical Policy error was identified on 10 April 2015. This error affects the 3 ZACR gTLDs, namely .CAPETOWN , .DURBAN and .JOBURG.
As part of the technical implementation all domain name registrations have their Autorenew Flag set to “False” by default. The identified Technical Policy error has set the Autorenew Flag of your domain name registrations to “True” by default instead of “False”. This means that all domain names for which you are the sponsoring registrar will automatically renew at the date of their expiration.
To correct the current Autorenew status of “True” please use the EPP Autorenew Extension to switch the status to “False”. The extension is provided by the ZACR and available here.
If it is not possible to use the EPP Autorenew Extension then please contact the ZACR at “registrar at registry dot net dot za” to have the AutoRenew flag set to ‘False’.
The error will be corrected on 14 Aril 2015 at 14h00 SAST. This means that all domain name registrations registered prior to 14 Aril 2015 at 14h00 SAST have the AutoRenew status flag set to ‘true’. All domains registered after this date will have the AutoRenew status flag set correctly.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused due to this technical error.
