The Org.Za second level domains (SLD) are nearing, or have passed, their 1-year anniversary since their migration to the ZA Central Registry (ZACR) EPP system. In light of this, the ZACR has identified that a substantial number of domain names still remain on the Default Registrar account for each SLD. In other words there are still a large amount of domain names that are not associated with a ZACR Accredited Registrar.
The ZA Domain Name Authority (ZADNA), in conjunction with the ZACR, has set certain timelines and a definitive cut-off date when domain names that remain on the Default Registrar account will be deleted from the registry.
This process has been initiated in accordance to the original ZADNA decision to have all Org.Za domain names transferred from the Default Registrar account to ZACR Accredited Registrars within 1 year of the original migration.
For more information on the phases please see the ZACR webpage available here.
